I know this completely beside the point, but I was enjoying Instababy right up until the police officer was texting while driving. Yikes. Still they seem like a good couple, I hope things work out for them they way they are hoping.

This is so good. Yes, yes yes yes yes yes. I just watched the first episode and I'm a bit speechless. I grew up in what I hope was the last generation in the south who felt like they had to leave to live. This is stunning to see.

Earlier this year I bought The Un-Natural State: Arkansas and the Queer South, by Brock Thompson. It hit all the high points for me. The local lore, the clubs and bars and 18+ venues, the names and places. I love every word of these queer histories. I'm over the moon to see contemporaries going through the struggle without expecting to move away, in full view.

A+

do they short shrift the racist, sexist, bourgeois upper-middle-class gay white male scene here in Atlanta or is this a good documentary series

None of the three episodes focus on “the racist, sexist, bourgeois upper-middle-class gay white male scene.”
